It reads the user’s spreadsheet or CSV, maps the values to the official schema, and sends the result through HMRC’s secure gateway, allowing self‑employed individuals and landlords to meet the digital filing mandate that begins in April 2026.

It is aimed at users whose accounting processes rely on spreadsheets rather than dedicated accounting software. The tool runs on Windows, with optional installers for Debian‑based Linux and macOS, and works with standard Excel formats (.xls, .xlsx, .xlsm) or CSV files that follow the provided bridging templates. A free six‑month trial and a sandbox mode let users preview submissions without storing data on HMRC’s systems.

The software has been tested and recognised by HMRC as an approved MTD for Income Tax solution, and it includes documentation, video guides, and example templates to help users prepare and submit their quarterly updates.
