Adapter

Adapter provides a graphical front‑end that leverages FFmpeg for converting image, audio and video files on macOS and Windows. Users can select any output format, resolution, dimensions, frame rate, or audio codec, and the program shows VLC‑based previews of both source and converted media. It also estimates the resulting file size before conversion begins.

The interface supports batch processing, allowing groups of files to be dropped into a queue and converted with a single command. Additional tools include trimming of video and audio, adding subtitles or audio tracks, overlaying text or watermarks, and creating animated GIFs or ringtones. Advanced options are hidden by default but can be revealed for finer control.

Adapter is distributed as freeware without advertisements, toolbars, or watermarks, and it offers a clean installer that does not modify the system beyond the application itself. It targets users who need a simple yet flexible media conversion solution on desktop platforms.
