AriaNg Native

AriaNg Native is an Electron‑based desktop client that provides the full functionality of the AriaNg web interface for the aria2 download manager, packaged for Windows and macOS so it can run without a browser. It adds a graphical interface that supports drag‑and‑drop creation of new tasks, displays torrent file details with file selection before downloading, and can play a sound when a download finishes.

The application also integrates with the operating system through command‑line arguments and file‑type associations for .torrent and .metalink files, allowing users to start new tasks directly from the command line or by opening associated files. Additional conveniences include a taskbar tray icon with minimize‑to‑tray support, local file system operations, custom commands executed on startup, and automatic update checks.

AriaNg Native is distributed under the MIT license, offers prebuilt binaries for both Intel and Apple‑silicon macOS, and can be built from source with Node.js and NPM. It targets users who need a native, feature‑rich front end for aria2 on desktop platforms.
