AudioGridder Plugin
VST2/VST3/AU/AAX DSP Server Plugin
AudioGridder acts as a network bridge that moves the DSP processing of audio plugins from a DAW host to a separate computer. The server runs on macOS, Windows or experimental Linux and executes the plugin code, while the client plugin in the DAW streams audio, MIDI and the plugin’s UI over the network. This lets users build remote insert chains or load instruments without installing the plugins locally.
The client plugin is available in VST2, VST3, AAX and AudioUnit formats and can connect to any discovered server. It captures the server‑side UI and forwards mouse and keyboard events, or it can use a generic parameter editor for direct control. Features include latency compensation, sandboxed plugin chains, 32/64‑bit floating‑point processing and automation support.
AudioGridder is open‑source software released under the MIT license, targeting audio engineers and developers who need to offload CPU‑intensive plugins or share a common plugin library across multiple workstations.
