b1gMail is a self‑hosted email system built with PHP and MariaDB that can run on virtually any webspace. It includes support for POP3 catch‑all mailboxes and can be linked to external mail servers such as Postfix or the optional b1gMailServer component for users who operate their own mail infrastructure. The application provides a web‑based administrative console for managing domains, users, and settings without requiring root‑level server access.

The user interface is HTML5‑based, offering drag‑and‑drop handling of messages, attachments, and files, as well as integrated address book, calendar, task list, notes, cloud‑drive, SMS and fax capabilities. Built‑in spam and virus protection combines DNSBL checks with a Bayesian filter.
