Base provides a graphical interface for working with SQLite 3 database files on macOS. Users can explore database structures through a schema inspector that displays tables, column types, constraints, and relationships without writing SQL. The visual table editor lets users create and modify tables by adding columns and defining constraints via point‑and‑click controls.

The data browser shows table contents in a simple grid, supporting direct cell editing, filtering, and quick navigation of records. An integrated SQL editor offers syntax highlighting, autocomplete, and query snippet storage, enabling both learning and execution of complex queries with immediate result display.

Base also handles data interchange, allowing import from CSV and SQL dump files and export to SQL, delimited text, JSON, and Excel formats. The application is available as a free, feature‑limited version with an optional purchase to unlock the full feature set, and requires macOS 15 Sequoia or newer.
