BinDiff
Binary diffing tool
The tool compares binary files by applying a graph‑theoretical method to identify identical and similar functions across different executable versions. It works with binaries for x86, MIPS, ARM, PowerPC and other architectures that can be loaded into IDA Pro, Binary Ninja or Ghidra, allowing users to see function‑level correspondences and differences in a symmetric layout.
It is aimed at vulnerability researchers, security engineers and reverse‑engineers who need to locate fixes in vendor patches, migrate symbols and comments between versions, or collect evidence of code reuse, theft or patent infringement. The interface highlights changed instructions in yellow and newly added ones in red, and it can transfer function names, comments and local identifiers from one disassembly to another.
The software is stable and primarily targeted at macOS users, offering a focused set of features for binary diffing without additional marketing claims or extraneous functionality.
