boots.list is a macOS application that helps DJs turn a Rekordbox library into a set‑ready playlist. It reads a Rekordbox XML export, bringing in track titles, BPM values, Camelot keys and genre tags, then lets the user filter by genre, set a target duration and define a BPM range. The software can scan audio files directly to fill in missing tempo or key information, and it orders tracks to maintain harmonic compatibility according to the Camelot wheel.

The tool visualizes the playlist as an energy arc chart, colour‑coding sections such as intro, build, peak and resolve, so users can spot pacing issues quickly. Generated playlists are saved locally, can be revisited or renamed, and can be exported back to Rekordbox as an XML file without altering cue points or loops. All processing stays on the user’s Mac, with only account details stored remotely.
