Browser Arena
Open-source benchmarks for cloud browser infrastructure
Browser Arena provides an open‑source framework for evaluating cloud‑based browser providers. It runs reproducible benchmarks that measure three key dimensions—speed, reliability and cost—across a set of providers such as Notte, Browserbase, Steel, Hyperbrowser, Kernel, Anchor Browser and Browser Use. The tool records metrics like latency in milliseconds, hourly pricing and success rates, then combines them into a weighted value score that can be tuned for different priorities (e.g., reliability‑first, speed‑first, budget‑first).
The benchmark suite can be executed on Railway, allowing developers to reproduce the results locally or add new providers and test configurations. It supports both sequential and concurrent runs, making it suitable for assessing performance of AI browser agents and web‑automation workloads under realistic load conditions.
Target users are developers and engineers who need to compare cloud browser infrastructure options for their projects, especially when cost, latency and reliability are critical factors. The open‑source nature encourages community contributions, enabling the benchmark set to evolve with additional providers and custom test scenarios.
