CARE Project

The platform provides a web‑based system for volunteer‑led dog rescue operations across Cyprus. It organizes the workflow for shelters, including veterinary examinations, vaccinations, spay/neuter procedures, diagnostics, and medication distribution, ensuring rescued dogs receive necessary medical care before adoption.

In addition to health services, the software tracks rehabilitation and recovery activities such as wound management and monitored rest, and it facilitates socialization programs that build confidence and good habits in dogs. It also manages adoption logistics, handling paperwork, microchipping, and safe transport both within Cyprus and abroad.

A public catalog lists dogs available for adoption with basic profiles, and the site shares success stories and informational blog posts for prospective owners. The project is open‑source and currently in an experimental stage, targeting animal‑welfare volunteers and shelter coordinators who need a coordinated, low‑cost tool for rescuing and rehoming stray dogs.
