ChatMate for WhatsApp

It provides a native macOS client for WhatsApp, allowing users to send and receive text, voice, images, videos, GIFs, documents, contacts, stickers, links, reactions, products and orders directly from their desktop. The app supports desktop notifications through the system, dock or menu bar, and includes a quick‑access “Do not disturb” mode to pause alerts when focus is required.

Privacy features include a lockable Privacy Mode, accessible via password or Touch ID, which can suppress notifications while the app is locked, and a Stealth Mode that reveals message content only when the cursor hovers over it, helping protect conversations in public settings. Users can manage multiple WhatsApp accounts, switching between them with a click or keyboard shortcut, and assign distinct wallpapers and notification sounds per account.

Conversation data can be stored locally in an Archive that integrates with macOS Time Machine backups, and entire chats can be exported to a single file for forwarding or archival purposes.
