Donetick

Donetick is an open‑source, self‑hostable application for managing personal and family tasks and chores. It lets users create tasks using natural‑language descriptions, automatically extracting dates, times and recurrence patterns, and supports flexible scheduling options such as daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, specific months or days, and adaptive dates based on past completions. Tasks can be assigned to individuals, rotated automatically, or shared within groups, with support for subtasks, priorities, custom labels, photo attachments, and “Things” that trigger task completion when their values change.

The tool includes built‑in gamification features, including a points system, completion restrictions, and analytics that visualize progress by label and status. Security is provided through multi‑factor authentication and OAuth2/OIDC integration, while real‑time synchronization and offline access keep data consistent across devices. A dashboard view offers a wall‑mountable interface for shared displays, and NFC tags can be programmed to mark tasks as done instantly.

Donetick is released under the AGPL‑3.0 license, offers a free tier without subscription requirements, and is positioned for users who need a collaborative, feature‑rich yet simple task manager that can be run on their own infrastructure.
