Draw.io
Drawio is a diagramming and whiteboarding desktop app
drawio‑desktop packages the web‑based draw.io editor in an Electron shell, providing a self‑contained diagramming and whiteboarding application that runs on Windows, macOS and Linux. The program is distributed as installers, a portable executable, and a Microsoft Store package, allowing per‑machine or per‑user installation without administrator rights when desired.
The app is built under the Apache 2.0 license and is designed to operate offline; it never transmits diagram data or usage analytics, and its content‑security policy blocks remotely loaded scripts. Updates are fetched from GitHub and an AWS S3 bucket, but otherwise the software remains isolated from the Internet.
Developers can obtain the source by cloning the repository with its submodule, then build or run it via npm. While the core editor is open‑source, contributions to the desktop wrapper are limited to maintainers due to its complexity. Support is offered through the public issue tracker without formal service agreements.
