DevDocs
API documentation viewer
DevDocs for macOS is an unofficial viewer for the DevDocs API documentation service, packaged as a native application for macOS. It presents documentation pages in a tabbed interface and respects the system’s dark or light appearance, allowing users to browse multiple references simultaneously.
The app includes a global shortcut that can be customized, and it supports a protocol handler enabling script‑driven actions such as opening a new window or performing a scoped search. URLs on the devdocs.io domain can be opened directly, while other domains are ignored. Installation is possible via a downloadable binary or through Homebrew, and the software is released under the GNU GPL version 3.
Development targets macOS Big Sur; earlier releases are required for Mojave and Catalina. The project is maintained by Douglas Teoh and contributors, and it is provided as free, open‑source software.
