EU Project Commercialisation Toolkit

The toolkit provides a set of structured, fill‑in‑the‑blank resources designed to support the exploitation phase of Horizon Europe and other EU‑funded research projects. It includes a Horizon‑compatible exploitation plan template, a framework for identifying and prioritising key exploitable results with technology readiness and market potential assessments, and a 38‑point market validation checklist that captures evidence throughout the discovery and go‑to‑market process.

Additional components are a Business Model Canvas adapted for EU research, adding blocks for exploitation routes and value capture, and an IP strategy checklist covering patents, trade secrets, software copyright, data rights and licensing, with columns for responsible parties, timing and EU‑specific obligations. The materials are available as an interactive HTML file that auto‑saves user input and as printable PDFs.

The toolkit is intended for project managers, consortium partners and innovation consultants who need to produce the documentation required by EU project officers and to streamline the transition from research outcomes to commercial impact.
