Falcon SQL Client

Falcon SQL Client is a free, open‑source editor that lets users connect to a variety of databases, execute SQL queries, and visualize results inline. After establishing a connection in the Connection tab, queries are run in the Query tab and the output can be exported as CSV or opened directly in Chart Studio for Plotly‑based graphics. The tool can also act as a bridge between Plotly dashboards and the underlying database, allowing charts to refresh automatically when the data changes.

Supported database engines include RedShift, MySQL, PostgreSQL, IBM DB2, Impala, Microsoft SQL Server, and SQLite, making the client useful for developers and analysts who work across multiple data platforms. The application runs on macOS and Windows, with installers that integrate into the desktop environment and optional administrator privileges for installation.

Version 2.0 adds automatic SSL generation via Let’s Encrypt, providing secure connections without manual certificate handling. The client is distributed through GitHub and is positioned as a stable, community‑maintained tool for SQL development and quick data visualisation.
