Faxbot

Faxbot enables users to send fax messages from a macOS computer by routing the transmission through a FRITZ!Box that runs FRITZ!OS 06.00 or newer. It accepts PDF, PNG, and JPEG files, which can be opened directly, dragged onto the dock icon, or supplied via AppleScript with optional recipient numbers, allowing automated fax jobs. The application integrates with any macOS program that offers a print dialog: selecting “PDF → Faxbot” sends the printed document as a fax regardless of its original format.

Beyond basic sending, Faxbot lets users create a cover sheet, format text, and embed graphics before transmission. It generates a sending report for each fax and offers a choice of transmission algorithms optimized for text‑only or mixed text‑and‑graphic documents, balancing speed and resolution.

The software is stable, macOS‑only (10.12 or later), and includes support in German and English. It is intended for professionals or anyone needing to incorporate faxing into their Mac‑based workflow without separate hardware.
