The macOS native client provides a graphical interface for transferring files to and from Amazon Glacier. It displays vault inventories, allowing users to browse and search archives, and can identify duplicate archives for removal to reduce storage costs. Users can drag and drop folders from Finder to a vault, where the app synchronizes the contents by uploading only new or changed files and optionally deleting orphaned archives.

Transfer operations support configurable bandwidth limits and parallel file uploads, while multipart handling enables reliable uploading of very large files. Interrupted uploads and downloads can be resumed automatically, and secret keys are stored securely in the macOS Keychain. The client also decodes archive descriptions created by other tools such as FastGlacier, CrossFTP, CloudBerry, or Synology NAS, without applying proprietary encoding, encryption, or compression.

Multiple Amazon accounts can be added, and the software is marked as stable. Development will cease after Amazon ends new customer enrollment for Glacier, but existing installations will continue to function without further updates.
