geeknote
Evernote client.
Geeknote provides a command‑line interface for interacting with Evernote (and its Chinese service Yìnxiàng Bǐjì). It runs on any system with Python 3, including Linux, FreeBSD, macOS and Windows, and can be installed via Homebrew, Gentoo, PyPI or from source. After a one‑time authorization step, the tool stores an access token locally for subsequent use.
The client lets users create and edit notes, tags, and notebooks directly from the console, using any preferred text editor. It supports Evernote’s search syntax with filters, synchronizes local files and directories with the cloud, and can be scripted or scheduled with cron for automated workflows.
Geeknote is maintained as a stable, Python‑3‑compatible fork and includes a non‑destructive test suite. It offers optional support for the Chinese Evernote variant by setting an environment variable, and handles token‑based authentication when OAuth is unavailable.
