Get iPlayer Automator

The application integrates Apple’s TV and Music apps with British broadcasters, allowing users to download episodes from BBC and STV (the Scottish version of ITV) directly to a Mac. It automatically tags downloaded files and adds them to the appropriate library, making them searchable and playable through the native macOS media apps. A series‑link/PVR feature tracks show schedules so new episodes are fetched without manual effort.

Once a program is stored in TV or Music, it can be synced to iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV, providing a seamless way to watch on the go or on a larger screen. The workflow is intended to be simple, requiring only macOS 10.10 or later, and handles all necessary conversion and metadata steps internally.

The project is distributed as a stable macOS bundle, built with Swift Package Manager and a set of compiled binaries for Perl, ffmpeg, and related utilities. Source code and release binaries are hosted on GitHub, with a documented build process that includes notarization and optional publishing to GitHub releases.
