GitCity
Your GitHub contributions as 3D city you can drive through
GitCity converts a user’s public GitHub contribution history into an interactive isometric 3D city skyline, where each day with commits is represented by a skyscraper whose height reflects the number of commits. The tool fetches the contribution data by simply providing a GitHub username, requiring no additional configuration.
The resulting city can be explored in a drive‑through simulation, allowing users to navigate the skyline from street level. Six visual themes—Matrix, Noir, Aurora, Ocean, Gold, and Ice—provide different aesthetic styles, and the view can be filtered by year, month, or week to focus on specific periods.
GitCity generates an embeddable SVG that can be placed in GitHub READMEs or developer portfolios, making the visualization easy to share. The project is free, open‑source, and positioned as an experimental developer tool.
