Goneovim

Neovim GUI written in Golang, using a Golang qt backend

Source

Goneovim provides a graphical interface for Neovim, built in Go and leveraging a Qt binding for Go. It runs as a native desktop application on macOS, Windows, and Linux, and requires Neovim v0.11 or a nightly build. The GUI offers optional enhancements such as pixel‑based scrolling, animated cursors, ligature support, scrollbars, and per‑window font settings, while still exposing standard Neovim features like the embedded terminal and remote control via nvr. Users can manage multiple Neovim instances through a workspace feature, customize GUI options (guifont, guicursor, etc.), and benefit from clipboard integration, drag‑and‑drop, and desktop notifications. The project is stable but in maintenance mode, receiving only critical bug fixes and security updates, with future development shifted to a new Zig‑based GUI. Pre‑built binaries are available via GitHub releases, and package managers such as Homebrew (macOS) and Scoop (Windows) can be used for installation.
