grocy

Grocy is a web‑based, self‑hosted application for managing groceries, household inventory, chores, tasks and devices. It runs on PHP with SQLite and can be accessed through a browser or via desktop, mobile and Docker packages. Users can scan barcodes, define minimum stock levels, and automatically generate shopping lists that reflect current inventory and recipe requirements.

The system includes features for recipe management, meal planning, battery tracking and custom fields for any entity, allowing households to keep manuals, instructions and other metadata in one place. It also supports localization, with English built in and community translations managed through Transifex.

Because it is open‑source under the MIT license, Grocy can be installed on personal servers without subscription fees, and the community contributes add‑ons, tools and guides to extend its functionality. It targets individuals or families who want a private, configurable solution for everyday household organization.
