The platform runs as a single binary that embeds DuckDB for storage and NSQ for buffered ingest, eliminating the need for external databases or caches. It captures automatic page‑view events, custom events, goals, funnels, ecommerce transactions, and AI‑related traffic, and presents the data in a compact dashboard with geographic, language, and UTM attribution breakdowns.
The tool is aimed at product and engineering teams that want full control over data residency and operational stack while still receiving ready‑to‑use reports, scheduled email summaries, and API access. Authentication supports passkeys, TOTP, and role‑based permissions, and the system can be deployed on‑premises, in a low‑cost VPS, or in EU/US managed cloud regions.
HitKeep is released under the MIT license, requires no subscription, and offers export of analytics history in JSON, CSV, or Parquet formats, ensuring portability and compliance with privacy‑first policies.
