IntelliShell turns a terminal into a searchable library of command templates and snippets, supporting Bash, Zsh, Fish, Nushell, and PowerShell with binaries for Linux, macOS, and Windows. It lets users bookmark commands, replace placeholder variables, and retrieve past commands using configurable keybindings such as Ctrl + Space for search and Ctrl + B for bookmarking.

The tool can populate its library automatically from the current workspace, import examples from tldr pages, and exchange collections via files, HTTP endpoints, or Gists. Dynamic variables are expanded on the fly, and optional AI integration can generate, fix, or improve commands using local or remote language models.

Users can choose between an inline or full‑screen text UI, customize search modes, themes, and ranking algorithms, and control the experience through a flexible configuration system. The project is stable, core‑CLI‑available, and documented in a quick‑start guide and online book.
