Iridium Browser is built on Chromium 147.0.7727.101 and modifies the upstream code to prioritize user privacy and security. It disables automatic transmission of partial queries, keywords, and metrics to external services unless the user explicitly permits it, and it enforces strict security policies while maintaining compatibility with complex web sites. The project provides reproducible builds and an auditable change history through a public Git repository, allowing anyone to verify the modifications.

The browser aims at users and organizations that require a fast, stable web experience without the data collection typical of mainstream Chromium‑based browsers.
