k6 Studio

k6 Studio is an open‑source desktop application that runs on macOS, Windows, and Linux. It records user interactions in a browser, exports the trace as a HAR file, and then converts that file into a k6 performance‑testing script. The generated script can be edited with rules to refine the test flow, and it supports both standard HTTP scripts and browser‑level scripts that include page navigation, element interaction, and text assertions.

The tool includes a visual interface for testing and debugging the scripts, allowing users to inspect request and response details for any step in the generated test. This makes it easier to validate the correctness of the script before executing it in a performance‑testing environment.

Scripts created with k6 Studio can be run directly in Grafana Cloud k6 or used as scripted checks in Synthetic Monitoring, providing a seamless workflow from recording real user behavior to executing automated performance tests.
