KeyStore Explorer

KeyStore Explorer provides a graphical user interface for the functions traditionally performed with the Java command‑line tools keytool and jarsigner. It allows developers to create, open, and navigate keystores, as well as generate, import, export, and modify key pairs, private keys, and certificates through dialog‑driven workflows. The application also supports digital signing of Java applications, JSON Web Tokens, certificates, and certificate revocation lists.

In addition to basic keystore management, the program offers extensive format support, enabling conversion between various keystore, key pair, private key, and certificate types. It includes simple certificate‑authority capabilities, allowing users to create a CA certificate and sign other certificates or CRLs with a broad set of extensions.

Because KeyStore Explorer is written in Java, it runs on any platform with a Java runtime, making it usable on Windows, macOS, and Linux. The tool targets developers who need a more accessible way to handle Java security artifacts without relying on command‑line interfaces.
