MenuMeters for El Capitan (and later)

Set of CPU, memory, disk, and network monitoring tools

Visit

MenuMeters provides real‑time visual monitoring of CPU usage, memory consumption, disk activity, and network traffic directly from the macOS menu bar. It runs as a standalone application, replacing the earlier preference‑pane implementation, and displays configurable graphs and numeric readouts that update continuously while the system is in use.

The utility is aimed at users who want a lightweight, always‑visible overview of system performance without opening separate monitoring tools. It is compatible with macOS El Capitan (10.11) and later versions, and the developers test it on recent releases such as Catalina, while older macOS releases may require legacy builds.

Installation consists of downloading the app, moving it out of the quarantine‑affected download folder (e.g., to /Applications), and launching it. The program can check for updates via its Dock menu and can be removed simply by trashing the bundle. Source code and issue tracking are hosted on GitHub.
