Mimestream is a native macOS client that connects to Gmail through the Gmail API, offering a desktop‑focused interface for managing one or more Gmail accounts. It mirrors Gmail’s core concepts—labels, categories, filters, and search—while integrating macOS features such as profile photos, unified inbox views, and customizable notification schedules. Users can handle calendar invitations, vacation responses, and snoozed messages without leaving the application, and the client blocks common email trackers for privacy.

The client provides triage tools like list filtering, focus filters, and working‑hours notifications, allowing users to prioritize primary messages and defer less‑important ones. Color‑coded labels and visibility settings are fully supported, and server‑side Gmail filters can be edited directly within the app. Integration with Google Calendar (and Apple Calendar) lets users see availability when responding to invites.

Designed for Mac users who prefer a desktop experience, Mimestream combines macOS UI conventions with Gmail’s backend capabilities, delivering fast, offline‑ready access to email, calendar, and account management in a single, unified workspace.
