Multi MC

MultiMC provides an alternative Minecraft launcher that lets users create and manage multiple isolated game instances. Each instance maintains its own set of mods, resource packs, saves, and configuration, allowing players to switch between different setups without interference. The interface offers detailed views of logs, mods, and other instance data, and includes fine‑grained control over Java runtimes and settings overrides.

The launcher supports easy installation of popular mod loaders such as Forge, Fabric, Quilt, and LiteLoader, and can import modpacks from platforms like Modrinth, CurseForge, FTB, Technic, and ATLauncher. Users can also export and share instances, and manage worlds and texture packs directly within the program. Additional utilities include a color‑coded log system for debugging and a simple method to terminate a frozen game.

MultiMC is lightweight and runs on macOS (10.13+), Windows, and Linux, requiring Qt5 on Linux distributions. It aims for predictable behavior, avoiding hidden compatibility hacks and providing straightforward management of both current and legacy Minecraft versions.
