OK JSON
Scriptable JSON formatter and editor
OK JSON is a native macOS application that provides a two‑pane interface for viewing and editing JSON data. One pane displays the raw text while the other presents a tree view of the structure, allowing users to navigate and modify JSON more intuitively. The app supports standard macOS features such as drag‑and‑drop, Dark Mode, Quick Look, and URL schemes, and it stores a history of viewed files locally for easy retrieval.
The software includes a scripting layer powered by JavaScriptCore, enabling custom processing of JSON strings directly within the editor. Users can also extend functionality through AppleScript and official extensions for Quick Look and Raycast, integrating the formatter into broader workflows.
All processing occurs on the local machine, ensuring that JSON content never leaves the user’s device. The application is compatible with Apple Silicon and macOS Tahoe, and both the Mac App Store and direct download versions share identical features.
