OmniDB
Web tool for database management
OmniDB is a web‑based interface for managing relational databases, primarily targeting developers and database administrators who need a graphical tool to explore, query, and monitor their data stores. It supports PostgreSQL 13 and can connect to other PostgreSQL versions, offering a database structure tree, properties and DDL tabs, and a graphical visualExplain visualizer for visualExplain. Analyze queries. Users can authenticate via Active Directory or LDAP, share connections among teammates, and optionally store OmniDB’s own configuration in a PostgreSQL backend. The application runs in a browser using long‑polling for communication and can be packaged as a desktop client with NWJS, providing OS‑specific shortcut handling and dark‑theme support. Recent updates focus on stability, security, and performance improvements, including better connection reuse, reduced CPU load during rendering, and refinements to the UI such as enhanced menus, result‑grid resizing, and a global snippet panel.
