Opengist
Pastebin powered by Git.
It provides a self‑hosted pastebin where each snippet is stored in a Git repository, allowing creation, reading, and modification through standard Git commands or a web interface. Snippets can be public, unlisted, or private, and the system supports syntax highlighting, markdown and CSV rendering, topic tags, and full revision history. Users can search code, browse others’ snippets, like and fork entries, and embed them in external sites, with options to download raw files or ZIP archives.
The platform integrates OAuth2 login with providers such as GitHub, GitLab, Gitea, and OpenID Connect, and it can restrict visibility for anonymous users. Deployment is available via Docker images, Helm charts, or direct binary installation, and it requires Git, Go, and Node.js for building from source. Documentation and community support are provided through a website, Discord, and translation tools.
Opengist is released under the AGPL‑3.0 license, offering a free‑tier, subscription‑free solution that can be run on personal or organizational infrastructure without reliance on external services.
