OpenSong

OpenSong is a free, open‑source application for managing lyrics, chords, lead sheets, and related presentation material. It stores detailed metadata for each song—including title, author, copyright, tempo, time signature, and user‑defined fields—and can automatically transpose chords to any key. Users can customize fonts, sizes, and styles for titles, lyrics, and chords, and print sheets that show both regular and capo‑adjusted chords together.

The software also supports live presentations, allowing users to arrange slide order for verses, choruses, or Bible verses, and to create timed loops for announcements or Q&A sessions. Backgrounds can be changed to solid colors or images, with font shadowing and outlining to improve readability on projection screens.

OpenSong runs on macOS, Windows, and Linux, and is translated into many languages by its community. It is distributed via SourceForge and is maintained as a stable, production‑ready tool for musicians, worship leaders, and anyone needing flexible song‑sheet and slide management.
