Origami Studio

Origami Studio provides a visual environment for designing, animating, and prototyping modern user interfaces. It combines a free‑form canvas with drawing tools, text editing, and visual components, allowing designers to lay out screens and define dynamic layouts that update automatically as changes are made. Interactive elements are built by linking visual components to a node‑based Patch Editor, which can also access native device APIs such as camera, audio, haptic feedback, GPS, and motion sensors.

The tool integrates with popular design platforms, supporting copy‑and‑paste of editable vector shapes and text layers from Figma and Sketch, and includes a plugin for importing Figma assets directly. Prototypes can be recorded as video, exported, or shared in real time via Origami Live, facilitating collaborative review and critique.

Performance improvements in version 3 accelerate the patch editor, viewer, and live viewer, delivering faster interaction while building and testing prototypes. The software is stable and used by designers at Facebook for creating high‑fidelity interface mockups.
