The engine implements 18 distinct rhythm‑game modes that emulate dance, instrument and key‑based titles, allowing users to play and develop content from more than two decades of the genre. It accepts a broad range of simfile formats—including .bms, .chart, .sm, .ssc, .osu and many others—so existing charts can be imported directly. A built‑in editor and a Lua scripting API enable creators to design new charts, modify gameplay, and add custom challenges.

Customization is supported through interchangeable assets such as noteskins, judgement graphics and themes, giving players and developers flexibility to tailor the visual and functional experience. The project also provides extensive documentation and a community wiki for users, creators and developers.

The engine runs on Windows, Linux and macOS, with ARM builds for single‑board computers like Raspberry Pi, and it works with a wide variety of input hardware, from keyboards and gamepads to dance pads, instrument controllers and MIDI devices.
