PluXml
XML-based blog/CMS platform.
PluXml is a lightweight, flat‑file content management system that stores all data in XML files rather than using a database. It can be installed by unzipping the package into a web server’s root and configuring a first webmaster account, after which a web‑based back‑office provides access to article and page creation, media handling, comment moderation, and RSS feeds. The system supports multiple user accounts with distinct permission levels, allowing collaborative editing without additional software.
The platform is designed for portability; because the site consists solely of files, it can be copied to a USB drive or moved between servers easily. It runs on PHP 5.6+ (up to 8.1.2) with required extensions such as GD and XML, and works with Apache, Nginx, or Lighttpd when URL rewriting is enabled. Themes and plugins can be added without programming, and the interface is available in eleven languages.
PluXml is released under the GPL‑3.0 license, is self‑hostable, and does not require a subscription. It targets users who need a simple, customizable blog or small website that remains fully under their control and can be deployed on modest hosting environments.
