PodFetch
Sleek and efficient podcast downloader.
A self‑hosted web application written in Rust with a React frontend, PodFetch lets users download podcast episodes and stream them directly from the server. It provides typical player capabilities such as playback controls, search, and subscription management, while also handling the organization of episodes and feeds. The service can expose a GPodder‑compatible feed, enabling continued use of existing podcast clients alongside the web interface.
Designed for personal or small‑scale deployment, PodFetch is distributed as a Docker image that can be run with a provided docker‑compose file. Automated builds publish new images to Docker Hub, and tools like Watchtower can keep installations up to date without manual intervention. Documentation includes a UI preview and keyboard shortcut guide for navigation.
The project is released under the Apache‑2.0 license, is free and open source, and does not require a subscription. Its lightweight architecture and focus on efficiency make it suitable for users who want to host and manage their own podcast library without external services.
