ScreenMemory continuously captures screenshots on macOS, building a searchable visual history of a user’s desktop activity. The recordings are stored locally, and the application provides an interactive timeline that shows which applications were used, when, and for how long, allowing users to scrub back to any moment and replay it in high resolution.

A built‑in OCR engine extracts text from the captured images, enabling full‑text search across the entire history, while a calendar view visualizes activity patterns with heatmaps. Users can define a privacy blacklist to exclude specific applications from recording, ensuring sensitive information is never captured.

The software is offered in a free tier with 24 hours of history on a single monitor, and a paid PRO license for unlimited history, multi‑monitor support, and use on up to three devices. All data remains on the local machine, with only occasional internet access for license verification.
