Snugs
Online communities, done properly.
Snugs provides a platform for creating and managing small online communities where content is presented in strict chronological order, without any algorithmic filtering. Users can share text, photos, videos, and links, and the system supports both public and private groups, as well as invite‑only or application‑based memberships with custom profile fields and per‑member permissions.
The service includes built‑in event management, allowing organizers to schedule one‑time or recurring gatherings, attach locations or meeting links, track RSVPs, and export events to external calendar applications. Real‑time chat features show online status, typing indicators, floating windows, and unread badges, facilitating immediate conversation among members.
Administrative tools give community leaders control over post approval, member invitations, application reviews, and moderation, while a discovery interface lets users browse groups by category, search tags, and view featured communities. The overall design targets book clubs, neighbourhood groups, hobby circles, and similar small‑scale gatherings.
