Spokenly converts spoken language into written text on macOS and iOS, inserting the transcription into any active application. It uses locally run Whisper and Parakeet models, allowing transcription to work entirely offline, and also supports cloud‑based engines when the user supplies their own API keys. The app detects the spoken language automatically, covering more than one hundred languages, and updates the text in real time as the user talks.

In addition to basic dictation, Spokenly offers AI‑driven formatting and grammar correction, integrating with large language models such as GPT‑4 and Claude to adapt the output to context. A “Agent Mode” lets users issue voice commands to launch apps, run shortcuts, or search the web, providing hands‑free control of the Mac.
