Squidex

Headless CMS, based on MongoDB, CQRS and Event Sourcing.

Squidex is an open‑source headless content management system built on ASP.NET Core that stores data in MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL or SQL Server. It exposes a rich REST API with OpenAPI/Swagger definitions, an OData‑compatible filter interface, and a GraphQL endpoint that supports subscriptions, allowing developers to retrieve exactly the data they need from any client. The system follows CQRS and event‑sourcing patterns, providing full content versioning, audit logs, and a customizable workflow engine for creation, review and publishing permissions.

The platform is designed for self‑hosting on a wide range of environments. Docker images, OS‑specific binaries, Helm charts for Kubernetes, and deployment guides for Azure, AWS, GCP, Heroku, IIS and Render make it straightforward to run Squidex on‑premise or in the cloud. Integrated tools include a command‑line interface for data sync, import/export of assets, and built‑in backup and recovery capabilities.

Squidex targets developers and teams that need a centralized, API‑first CMS with fine‑grained control over content lifecycle, version history, and external integrations, while remaining fully open source under the MIT license.
