The application provides a graphical interface for managing and switching host configuration files. It displays IP addresses, domain names, and comments with syntax‑highlighted colors, allowing users to read and edit entries quickly. Multiple selection modes let users combine different host entries to build complex environment configurations, and a system‑tray shortcut menu offers rapid access to view or switch between saved host schemes.

It supports both local and remote host files; remote schemes can be downloaded from a network source and set to synchronize automatically at defined intervals. Users can export all local schemes for sharing and import them back, facilitating collaboration within teams. Quick commenting is enabled via a line‑number click or a keyboard shortcut (Ctrl + / on Windows, ⌘ + / on macOS).

The interface includes light and dark visual themes and integrates with the Alfred launcher, allowing host switching through Alfred workflows. The software runs on macOS, is released as free open‑source, and is considered stable for production use.
