Sync‑in provides a self‑hosted platform for file storage, synchronization, and collaboration. It runs on user‑controlled infrastructure, offering full data sovereignty and the ability to enforce granular permission rules through role‑based access, spaces, and shares. The system supports OpenID Connect, LDAP, and multi‑factor authentication, and integrates with Collabora Online and OnlyOffice for real‑time editing of documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
The solution includes a responsive web interface, native desktop clients for Windows, macOS, and Linux, and a CLI that together enable cross‑device file syncing and WebDAV access. Features such as full‑text indexing, storage quotas, file locking, and activity tracking help manage documents at scale, while the modular architecture allows vertical and horizontal scaling for individual or enterprise use cases.
All components are released under the AGPL‑3.0 license, are free‑tier and subscription‑free, and are maintained as an open‑source project with community contributions, documentation, and support channels.
