Users can start and stop timers, assign entries to projects, and view both tabular and graphical summaries in real time. Export functions allow the collected data to be downloaded for further processing, and the system includes support for absence‑type projects and automatic completion of project names.

It is aimed at freelancers, small businesses, and modest teams that need a straightforward way to track work hours without a lengthy setup. The software can be run locally with Docker Compose, which also provisions a MongoDB backend, or deployed through a one‑click DigitalOcean Marketplace offering. A hosted version is available free of charge for quick experimentation.

The project follows a minimalist design philosophy, offering only the core time‑tracking features while remaining self‑hostable, open‑source under GPL‑3.0, and free of subscription requirements. It includes dark‑mode UI, basic API integrations, and documentation for extending its functionality with external tools such as task‑management boards.
