Traccar

Java application to track GPS positions. Supports loads of tracking devices and protocols, has an Android and iOS App. Has a web interface to view your trips.

The software provides a self‑hostable server for collecting and managing GPS position data from a wide range of tracking devices. It supports many protocols and device models, allowing users to integrate low‑cost trackers as well as premium hardware. The server runs on Windows, Linux and other platforms and can be deployed on‑premise or in the cloud.

A modern web interface, optimized for desktop and mobile browsers, displays real‑time locations, trip histories, and sensor data with selectable map layers such as road or satellite views. Native Android and iOS applications extend the same functionality to smartphones, and additional apps can turn mobile devices into GPS trackers.

The system generates alerts for events like geo‑fencing breaches, harsh driving, fuel drops, and maintenance triggers, delivering notifications via push, email or other channels. It also produces location history, trip, chart and summary reports that can be viewed in the interface or exported as Excel files. The project is open source under Apache‑2.0, free to use, and does not require a subscription.
