Vienna Assistant

Vienna Assistant provides a graphical interface for organizing and accessing sound samples from the Vienna Symphonic Library. It lets users browse the library’s extensive collection of orchestral recordings, audition individual articulations, and load selected files into a digital audio workstation or other audio software. The application runs on macOS and is packaged as a stable release, offering a consistent environment for managing the library’s assets without requiring command‑line tools.

Targeted at composers, arrangers, and producers who work with high‑quality orchestral samples, the manager simplifies the workflow of locating and preparing the appropriate instrument patches for a project. By presenting the sample hierarchy in an intuitive layout, it reduces the time spent searching through the library’s file structure.

The tool focuses on core sample‑management tasks such as previewing, tagging, and organizing presets, while relying on the underlying Vienna Symphonic Library files. It does not include additional audio processing or synthesis features, keeping the interface lightweight and dedicated to sample handling.
