WeakAuras Companion

WeakAuras Companion is a cross‑platform desktop application that links the World of Warcraft WeakAuras addon with the online repository Wago.io. It scans the user’s WoW installation, retrieves the list of installed auras, Plater profiles, mods and scripts, and checks Wago for newer versions. When updates are found, the app notifies the player in‑game with an icon and offers to upgrade or import a copy, and it can perform the fetch automatically about hour.

The tool also includes an optional backup feature that periodically saves copies of the user’s WeakAuras configurations, protecting them against loss from crashes or other accidents. Backups are created only when the user enables the option in the settings.

It is intended for players who use WeakAuras (and optionally Plater) and want a hands‑free way to stay current with community‑shared content without manually copying import strings. The application runs on Windows, macOS and Linux and can be installed via direct download, GitHub releases, or Homebrew.
