AnonAddy
Email forwarding service for creating aliases.
The software provides a self‑hostable email forwarding service that lets users create unlimited aliases to protect their real mailbox from spam and tracking. Users select a username or shared domain, generate an address such as [email protected], and have incoming messages forwarded to their actual inbox. Each alias can be disabled or deleted individually, stopping unwanted mail without affecting other addresses.
It targets individuals and organizations that need privacy‑preserving communication, offering anonymous replies and the ability to reply from an alias without revealing the underlying address. The system supports custom domains, per‑recipient GPG/OpenPGP encryption, and optional signing of forwarded messages, allowing users to encrypt both content and subject lines.
The project is released under the MIT license, is free to use, and includes open‑source mobile apps for iOS and Android, as well as browser extensions for major browsers. Because it can be deployed on a user’s own server, it eliminates reliance on third‑party services while retaining the same alias‑management features.
